Had so much fun at home with Ryan just hanging out last night- So You Think You Can Dance and BBQ. Had a Spa day with Crystal today... 2 hour pedicure=pure heaven!!! Thanks babe. Then Real game with Michelle. They won again!!! Great weekend... now I have to study for the 2 tests I have on Tuesday... time to hit the books! (Even though I am not really ready to be back in school so soon!!)

Happy Memorial Day! I am so thankful for all the men and women who are currently serving or who have served to allow us the freedom to live how we want and make our own choices. I salute you!

MMMMHHHHH

The other night at the spur of the moment we decided we wanted smores and to sit by the fire. So, we hopped in the car to make it to A Fresh Market before they closed at midnight. We got chocolate, graham crackers, and marshmallows, some wood and accelerant. I was worried the neighbors might be bothered if we had a fire at midnight but I don't think anyone even noticed. The smores were so good! We ate way too many but it was worth it. We had so much fun just hanging out, watching the fire, and getting a sugar high. LOL.

My 29th Birthday!!!

The day started out great... I was working and as soon as the clock struck midnight 2 of my sisters called me and sang me the BEST happy birthday I have ever heard!! I had a really good shift and got to work with cute babies and fun friends. Ryan took me to breakfast at IHOP and then it was home for a little sleep! I had told him that all I wanted for my birthday was a clean house (no time for that in nursing school)... and he had vacuumed the entire house, cleaned a bathroom, and done the dishes!!! What a great man I got! (And he has hired some house cleaners to come do all the deep stuff) yay!
After about 2 hours sleep I rolled out of bed to go to lunch with Ryan's mom and his sisters. There ended up only being 4 of us but it was a great time and meant a lot that they felt it was a priority to plan the lunch. Thanks guys!
Then it was back to bed for a few more hours. We decided to go to dinner and a movie. I always want to try places that I haven't been but it's too scary. What if you are disappointed??? So, I stuck with what I knew I would love- spinach artichoke dip and 5 cheese ziti at Olive Garden... soooo good!! Then we went and saw Iron Man 2. It was excellent! I loved the first one and thought this one was great too. And bonus- it was discount day so we paid matinee price for a 10pm movie.
It was a wonderful day with so many of those I love wishing me Happy Bithday! Thanks for the great birthday hun and all the wonderful wishes from family and friends!!!

Heather

My dear friend Heather... It all began when she took me on our first date to Cheesecake Factory!! We have so much fun together. She is hilarious and can ALWAYS make everyone around her happy. She has been so great to work with and get to know. There have been some rough times too... We have been good for each other, a match made in heaven. I'm grateful to have known her. She has also been my charge nurse at work and that has been amazing, to have such a smart person mentor you makes you feel smarter. I hope to be as good a nurse as she is when that day comes! We even got a Christmas Miracle and were able to work together her last shift on the floor. Someone loved us. She has become one of my very best friends and I love her so much! I wish she could've stayed longer but when your hubby is in the military I guess you don't have a choice. I wish her the best of luck with everything she does. And, I'd really like to go visit her in ALASKA. Maybe someday she will head back to Utah...

In honor of her we went to Cafe Rio- I guess it's tradition! There was lots of laughter and then some tears... It's not goodbye, just a "see you later!" Here are more pics we took:
