Well, here we are only 1 1/2 weeks into the semester and I am already done with my pediatrics clinicals. Isn't that sad?! The thing that I may really want to go into I only got to experience for 18 hrs!!
The little kids are so cute! We taught some 3 and 4 year olds how to brush their teeth. It was so fun to see their faces light up and how happy they were to share their knowledge with us. One of my clinical days I got to work with an amazing nurse named Annette. She was so kind and caring toward her patient. She exemplified what a wonderful nurse should be. Playing with him and picking up on even the most subtle changes in his condition. I hope I can be that good someday!!
Now I just get to relax and focus on the classroom stuff of my 4 classes for Feb and March and then have Mental Health clinicals in April. It will be a busy semester but should go pretty fast. Wish me luck!
