One down, One to go!!!

Yeah!!!! I have officially finished my first year of nursing school! Had my last final today and you should have seen me, so nervous in line. Knowing that if I royally blew it I would have to repeat an entire class of CARE PLANS!!! Well, "alls well that ends well" and this too has ended!! So excited for a 3 1/2 week break...

The Miracle of Life

So, many of you have heard me complain about school and say that I hate it, it's a means to an end. Well, in my clinical on Monday I had some really neat experiences that have made it all worth it. I was able to watch 2 babies be delivered!! For little Ella, I helped hold her mother's leg while she pushed and this little person started peeking out. It was the most AMAZING thing I have ever seen!! To be witness to such a miracle was like nothing I could ever describe!! I got teary eyed , and luckily she was a first time mom so she was tearing up too- that made me feel better. I just couldn't hold back the emotion. Then little Reuben came in the next room over. He wanted to just sit inside his mom and not do anything. But, when he decided to come he came so fast and there was another miracle. (I was able to hold back the emotion this time but still had the largest grin on my face that you have ever seen) ;) They were a cute spanish speaking couple but we could all understand how excited we were to see this little handsome man come into the world. I was surrounded by excellent nurses who loved their jobs and knew how to do them well. Thanks Jodi and Shauna for letting me be witness to these 2 new miracles!!!

Vegas Baby!!!

Ryan and I took a quick 2 night trip to Las Vegas last weekend. It had to be fast because I had a lab on Monday and a test on Tuesday so yes, I got to study all the way in the car. SOOOO FUN!

We got to go spend some time away just by ourselves and it was amazing! We ate at a few restaurants, the buffet once, saw "This Is It" with Michael Jackson- had chills the whole time! And got to spend some time with our niece Jessica, her husband Cory, and their little girl Kate. One sidenote- we only spent $30 gambling- a record for us. Thanks for a great weekend lovey!!!

Meeting Little Landon

Playoffs???

Went to the Real Salt Lake game with Jody tonight. Good food, good friend and a good game. They won!!! Now, depending on all the other games they may have a chance at the PLAYOFFS! Keep your fingers crossed- this is my livelihood we are discussing here. YEAH REAL!!! Fun's over, Now I really have to study...

Back in high school...

Ryan went hunting again this past weekend. I didn't have much time to hang out because I chose to work while he was gone so I could be home with him when he was home. On his last night away we started texting each other at about 9pm and kept it up until 4:30 in the morning!!! It was like we were teenagers back in high school again. I had so much fun staying up late and talking to him. It's a good thing I had a busy day at clinical the next day to keep me awake because I only ended up with 1 hr of sleep. Don't worry- nobody died! I love you honey!!

Uninvited guests

I was just over at my moms minding my own business when this uninvited guest decided to stop by for a visit... I'm sure now that he knows what happens when you drop in unannounced he will never make that mistake again.



This is him trying to sneak in nonchalantly right above the molding on the back door. You should have seen him draw our attention and the mad dash for a cup, (and a few pics), then a quick flush down the toilet. That'll teach him, and his friends when he doesn't come home tonight!!

Girls Time

Ryan went hunting last week with his best friend Sean. He left me a note that said "Thanks for staying home and working and letting me go. You're my (with a box of Sugar Babies)," and these

AAAAAHHHH. So sweet. Crystal and I hung out and went to get pedicures (pampering like you have never known- wax and a hot stone massage to the legs) and saw "All About Steve." We laughed our heads off. I also got to hang out with my sisters and play MAD GAB (lots more laughing) and watch "Nights in Rodanthe" (and some crying). It was a fun weekend! Thanks for the girl time and it looks like there will be lots more of it on the horizon... Hunting season has officially begun.

Silly Lily

So this is where I found Lily the other day... she has never climbed up on the hamper before but it looks like as long as there is SUN it will be her new favorite place!!
